One of my favorite stories is about a puppy who noticed that every time he was happy his tail would wag. So he decided that if he could only catch his tail and hold onto it he would always be happy. No matter how hard he tried or how fast he ran his tail was always out of his reach. Then one day he met an old dog and discussed his dilemma. “I thought the same thing when I was your age” the dog told him. “But I realized that if I just did the things I loved and stopped wasting so much energy chasing my tail and just went about my business…happiness would follow me wherever I went.” Happiness it’s not in things like money, cars, or houses. Happiness is and always has been inside you. If you trust in God, and go about your business, happiness will follow you wherever you go.
Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called children of God. Matthew 5:9
